Facebook announced New Features for Video Creators and Instagram

Yesterday at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, Facebook announced new features for video creators on Live, Watch Party and the Creator Studio, their main goal is to put people at the center and offer creators and publishers ways to grow, understand and build deeper connections with their communities.
Live

The update includes:
Rehearsals: You will be able to be Live only to admins or editors.
Trimming: Specify precisely when the video should begin or cut off the last seconds of the broadcast.
Extended duration: Up to 8 hours of broadcasting via Live API.
Simulcasting: Simulcast Via the Live API.
Live on Facebook Lite: Global availability of Live on Facebook Lite.
Watch Party

Scheduling: When you schedule a Watch Party it will create a post where people who opt-in will receive a notification when the Watch Party begins.
Replay: Your viewers will be able to rewatch the Watch Party and catch up in case they couldn’t watch it live.
New metrics: Minutes viewed, this metric will show the total amount of watch time of the Watch Party and unique 60 s viewed, here you will find the number of unique users who saw at least 60 seconds.
Branded Content: You will be able to tag business partners, this way both will have access to the insights on the performance of the Watch Party.
Live Commentating: Now it’s globally available.
Creator Studio

New visualization in Loyalty Insights: Here you will find which videos are the ones that drive returner viewers.
New Distribution metric: It will show the performance score of each video.
13 New languages for auto-captioning: Enable this feature in Creator Studio under the Subtitles and Captions Tab

Publish and Schedule Instagram and IGTV from Desktop

Instagram and IGTV Post and Schedule: You will now be able to publish and schedule content for up to 6 months in advance for Instagram Feed and IGTV, in the upcoming months there will be also drafting and editing features.
